Atlee’s Two-Hero Film

Atlee’s 6th film has been confirmed with Salman Khan. It will be a two hero film. Kamal Haasan is in talks to play the second lead. Earlier the reports were that the role was offered to superstar Rajinikanth.

Ek Aur Sequel Samachar This Week

The most unexpected announcement of this month, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, marks Kapil Sharma’s return to the big screen. The shooting of the sequel will begin by the end of this year. Just like the first part, the sequel will also feature multiple actresses. The film will be directed by Anukalp Goswami, one of the key writers of the first part.

The Ultimate Combo Is Back

Akshay Kumar is back with Priyadarshan after 14 years. It will be a horror-comedy on the backdrop of magic. The announcement is expected on Akshay Kumar’s birthday, on 9th September 2024. Akshay Kumar will be seen romancing three ladies.

Clash Confirmed

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again are confirmed to clash on Diwali this year. While Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has announced the release date as 1 November 2024, which is a Friday and falls on the day of Diwali, Singham Again may have a Thursday or Saturday release, skipping the Friday, which is a  Laxmi Pooja day.

Highlights of the Week [Samachar This Week]

Barring these updates, there has been a lot of developments regarding various other projects as well.

1. Stree 2 hits 500+ crores, beats Animal and Baahubali 2 in lifetime Hindi nett collection.
   
2. Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency gets postponed as the CBFC did not give the censor certificate due to the rising protests and threats by different groups.
   
3. Fahadh Faasil to make his Hindi debut with Imtiaz Ali.
   
4. Sanam Teri Kasam sequel is titled Jaanam Teri Kasam. Will have the original director duo but the cast will not be Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane.
   
5. Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force has been postponed, new release date will be announced soon.
   
6. Akshay Kumar’s Shankara will release in the first half of 2025.
   
7. Nagarjuna, Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, Soubin, and Upendra have joined the cast of Rajinikanth’s Coolie, character posters are out now.
   
8. Sidharth Malhotra’s Mitti gets shelved.
   
9. Siddharth Malhotra is in talks for a rom-com with Maddock Studios, directed by Tushar Jalota (Dasvi).
   
10. As per reports Aamir Khan’s Sitare Zameen Par has been postponed as the film requires more time in post-production
    
11. Adivi Sesh and Emraan Hashmi’s G2 is being made with a 100 crore budget.
    
12. The North India release date of Thangalaan has been shifted to September 6.
    
13. The Multiplex Association of India has sent a legal notice to the makers of Indian 2 for breaching OTT guidelines.

Shoots – Kya Shuru Kya Khatam

1. Salman Khan is shooting for Sikandar despite his rib injury. The film’s set, created at a large studio in Mumbai, took almost three months to create that set.
   
2. Son of Sardaar 2, UK schedule has been wrapped. Punjab schedule starts in October.
   
3. For De De Pyaar De 2, a major part of the film will be shot in Punjab. Ajay Devgn will join Rakul Preet and Madhavan a little later.
   
4. Look tests for Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna will be conducted in the first week of September for the upcoming Maddock horror-comedy film.
   
5. Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde starrer Deva has wrapped filming.
   
6. Kalki 2 will begin filming early next year.

New Releases, Release Dates and Announcements

1. Farhan Akhtar anounces his next film as an actor, titled 120 Bahadur.
   
2. Ali Abbas Zafar is back with Yrf to direct his next film. Fans speculate it might be Pathaan 2. But it may be a new film altogether.
   
3. The trailer for Yudhra is out now, the film is set for a theatrical release on September 20, 2024.
   
4. Tumbbad, Veer Zaara and Tujhe Meri Kasam to re-release in theatres on 13 September, clashing with Kareena Kapoor’s The Buckingham Murders.
   
5. Makers of Hanuman announce Kichcha Sudeepa starrer Billa Ranga Baasha: First Blood.
   
6. The bonus episode of Mirzapur 3 is out and fans are disappointed.
   
7. Berlin trailer is out now, and the film will be streaming on Zee5 from 13th September 2024.
   
8. Taaza Khabar season 2 trailer is out now, will stream on Disney Plus Hotstar from 27 September 2024.
   
9. The North India release date of Thangalaan has been shifted to September 6.
   
10. Netflix bags all languages ott deal of Pushpa 2 the Rule for ₹270 Crores.
    
11. The Ladykiller is not streaming on Tseries’ youtube channel for free.

Hollywood and other International Samachar

1. New posters for Joker: Folie à Deux are out and the film will arrive in India on 2 October 2024, two days earlier than the global release.
   
2. Tim Burton took 36 years for the sequel to Beetlejuice, which will be released in theaters in September 2024.
   
3. Selena Gomez and David Henrie’s revival of Wizards of Waverly Place will premiere on October 29, 2024.
   
4. A Minecraft Movie teaser and poster are out.
