“It’s Over, When I Say It’s Over!“
Teaser Overview
Toxic looks exactly like its name – A Fairy Tale For Grown Ups. 3 teasers or glimpses till now, and all of them are full of sex and violence. We still need to know what the Fairy Tale is about.
The clash with Dhurandhar The Revenge is inevitable, and it’s a battle of two hyper-masculinities on 19 March 2026. Let’s dive deep into the teaser now.
The Length
Perfect length and perfect cut. Very well paced with title cards and music. The teaser follows a structure, an opening dialogue that sets the tone, and an end that sparks curiosity and exceitement. That is something jisme thoda dimag lagaya hai, bas random compilation nahi kiya hai.
However, there are too many action shots in between, which feel repetitive. 3 massy and filmy dialogues are there which are sure increase social media buzz.

Loving The Cinematography
Been noticing since the first Birthday glimpse that the film is shot very well. The frames are just too good. Lekin sirf visual appeal se kuch nahi hota. A film needs to have its soul. Let’s see what Yash and Toxic bring us.
Poor VFX ?
VFX is poor in a lot of places, be it action shots or just wide establishment shots. But previous observations have taught me that while the teasers and trailers tend ot have poor vfx, the final films have better shots that do not seem that bad. Or sometimes you even forget that it was a bad vfx shot in the teaser or trailer.
This is because the promos are cut separately while the vfx teams keep on working on the shots till the end. Even the filsm sent to CBFC for cerifications do not have the finals shots. CBFC is only concerned with what is being shown. They don’t care about the color, sound, vfx, and other technicalities.
Too Much Sex
I personally have no problem with it. It’s a filmmaker’s choice, what they want to show. What annoys me is that people are just too much after it, ridiculing it at any chance they get.
I don’t understand this mindset. It happens only in India. Either watch it or don’t watch it, it’s your choice. Bur why behave as if its a sin and you are the only saint among sinners?
India has the highest population in the world. It has one of the highest consumption of porn and onlyfans in the world. Aur instagram pe kya kya hota hai sab jante hain. Lekin movies mein hi sabko ungli uthani hoti hai. Aaj tak Animal ke uss ek shot ko leke log complain karte hain, which was such an aesthetic shot. Gavaaro ka desh hai, jaha sirf social media pe cool banna hai sabko.
The Plot We Know
Raaya is a gangster, and he has declared war against all the other mafia bosses. He is now hunting others one by one and asserting dominance, but we don’t know why. In KGF films, he was a nobody, and his aim was to rise up the ranks.
Here, he seems to have some personal agenda, which we don’t know yet. The only thing we know is that it’s an all-out war, full of sex and violence.
Hiding the Characters
So we have 5 ladies played by 5 actresses – Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Suratia and Rukmini Vasanth, and they haven’t told us anything about them. Apart from the posters, we have not seen even one glimpse.
Double Role Confirmed?
There is a rumour since a long time that Yash is having a double role in the film. Till now fans have been speculating this through various promo materials, comparing long and short hair, with and without tattoos, etc.
In the last shot of the teaser, we see another look of Yash. His look is entirely different. He is having short hair so it may also be a younger version of Raaya. But the short hair Yash has tattoos while the long hair Yash does not. And we know that tattoos don’t disappear just like that. So its highly possible that it is a double role.
Interestingly, the final dialogue also supports this. Here he says, “I’m home Daddy,” while in the previous promo he says, “Daddy Is Home.” So is the double role about father and son? Only time will tell.
The Real Villain ?
There is another rumour that the main villain is played by Tovino Thomas. Can’t verify this as of now. They are not even mentioning his name or any other actor’s name in the captions, apart from Yash and the five ladies. Again, only time will tell.
Final Thoughts
Dekho sach bolu toh I did not like it much. Bahaut movies dekh li life mein aur ab ko kehta hai ki badi film hai toh expectations bhi badi hoti hain.
Toxic just looks like the same old version of gangster film that we have seen hundreds of times, the only differenctiating factor being that it has more intimacy and looks very grand. I’m still not able to find that X factor in this film. Looks like an advanced version of KGF only.
I understand that promos are trying to hide the plot and characters. But fir itne teasers mat nikalo na, kisne bola hai ki 3 teaser dikhao? It’s quite clear that the focus is more on enticing the fans and the kids who have not seen much in life. As an adult and as a lover of cinema, this is not exciting till now.
Par main ye bhi nahi keh raha ki film kharab hogi. I’m still expecting a banger. My only point is that abhi tak jo dekha hai wo kuch bahaut alag ya mazedar promise nahi kar raha hai. Let’s wait for the trailer. Until then, have some manners.
