This week saw a lot of chatter surrounding Indian Cinema, from Ramayana’s leaked images to shelved movies to new release dates, here we are at OCD Times bringing to you, a recap of last week – your weekly dose of samachar.

The on-set images of Ranbir Kapoor as Prabhu Shree Ram and Sai Pallavi as Mata Sita were allegedly leaked by Zoom Tv and took the entire internet by storm! However it might be done on purpose to check the reactions over the internet so that they could work accordingly. Which is okay! But what’s not okay is the fact that the studio is putting copyright strikes on smaller accounts on social media and youtube who have re-shared the pictures or commented on it under “fair use,” while the original uploaded (Zoom Tv) remains unaffected.
This is very unfair as years of hardwork of a creator can go down the drain while the studio is fine when the same creators hype up their films. And more importantly, why the partiality towards the ones who leaked and uploaded in the first place?
Ranveer Singh – Ek Gaya Ek Aya
Rumours are rife that Don 3 is shelved, though there is no official news about it yet. Mukesh Khanna has clarified it very strongly that Ranveer Singh will not be part of the Shaktimaan franchise, so all news regarding the shoot dates can be dismissed.
But Ranveer has joined the Prashant Verma Cinematic Universe in and as “Rakshas.” The film will be set in the pre-independence era with some mythological elements. Shoot will begin after completing Jai Hanuman.
Additions to Sunny Sanskari ki Tulsi Kumari
Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf have joined the cast of Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari which will be directed by Shashank Khaitan, who has previously directed, Humpty Sharma & Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya, Dhadak and Govinda Naam Mera.
Alia Bhatt’s Spy Universe Film
The film will be having a total of 7 Action Set Pieces! Aditya Chopra is keen to make it a cool action entertainer that sees Alia and Sharvari’s characters as mean killing machines. Alia will also have a “fierce combat” with Bobby Deol.
Shoots – Kya Shuru Kya Khatam
- Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video has wrapped filming and is slated to release on 11th October 2024.
Iska link milte hi hum aapke saath share kar denge! - Salaar 2 starring Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran will be reportedly commencing it’s shoot from May end and Prashant Neel is eager to release it as soon as possible in 2025 after-which he will start to work on his next with Jr.NTR.
- Jolly LLB 3 – Akshay Kumar has kicked off the shooting of the threequel in Rajasthan, along-with Arshad Warsi. This time it will be Jolly Vs Jolly as the two lawyers will be facing each other in court, with Saurabh Shukla as the judge.
- Housefull 5 will be going on floors in the month of August in The UK .
After that, the cast will go for a 45-day schedule on a cruise where majority of the events of this comic caper will unfold. The movie is said to be mounted on a budget of ₹375 Cr. - Sitaare Zameen Par – Aamir Khan will shoot with 11 children in different locations in Delhi in the month of May. The film’s storyline revolves around the Paralympic Games, where Aamir plays the role of a coach.
- Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 – Madhuri Dixit, Vidya Balan, Tripti Dimri and Kartik Aaryan to shoot on a reworked version of Ami Je Tomar in Mumbai
New Films Samachar This Week
- Aayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan are in talks to star in a Spy-Comedy film produced by Karan Johar and Guneet Monga.
- Priyadarshan is eyeing to start shooting for his next with Akshay Kumar by December 2024. This will be a Horror-Fantasy with Humour, based on one of the oldest superstitions of India – Magic.
- Shahid Kapoor is in talks with another director from South for his next film – Vamsi Paidipally Varisu).
- Ayushmann Khurrana will start a new film with Anees Bazmee in 2025. Produced by Junglee Pictures, the film is still in the writing stage.

Release Dates
- Khel Khel Mein, another Akshay Kumar movie, will be releasing on 6th September 2024. The movie is directed by Mudassar Aziz and co-stars Vaani Kapoor, Fardeen Khan and Taapsee Pannu, ammy Virk and Pragya Jaiswal.
- Ajay Devgn too, is in no mood to slow down as his next Auro Mein Kaha Dum Tha has locked it’s release date. The Neeraj Pandey directorial will be releasing on 5th July 2024.
