Advance Bookings have begun and we are all set for a BOMBASTIC Independence Day Weekend that will feature a direct three way clash between Stree 2, Khel Khel Main and Vedaa. Each of the three releases cater to different genres and promise an entertaining time at the movies for the audience. While Stree 2 is the next chapter of the horror comedy universe, Khel Khel Mein features Akshay Kumar in a comic avatar after a long time and Vedaa brings back John Abraham to what he does best, that is action.
The advance bookings of all three releases have started and according to the current trend Stree 2 is proving to be a one horse race whereas the other two releases look timid in comparison.
Here, at OCD Times, we bring you the detailed advance booking report, show count and our predictions and advance booking ratings for each of the three releases.

STREE 2
Starting with the first choice of cinegoers this Independence Day weekend we have the Shraddha-Rajkummar starrer Stree 2. The Amar Kaushik directorial has WRECKED HAVOC in advance bookings for its opening day with numbers having the potential to topple some of the biggest Bollywood blockbusters!
Stree 2 has managed to secure a total of over 12,386 shows across the nation and has sold over 7.39 Lakh tickets in the National Chains [including Paid Previews]. It has already raked in an advance gross of ₹22.91 Cr and with the current trend it will easily beat Fighter to become the biggest opener of 2024.
OCD Times Prediction: ₹45-50 Cr [including PP]

VEDAA
Coming to the other release which is Vedaa, it stands nowhere in front of the gargantuan advance numbers of Stree 2. However, it is still ahead of the third release, i.e Khel Khel Mein because of the benefit of more shows and better marketing.
Vedaa has managed to get a little over 5,317 shows across the nation. The movie has managed to sell over 54,000 tickets in National Chains and has raked in an advance gross of approximately ₹1.67 Cr.

KHEL KHEL MEIN Advance Booking
The third and final release of this weekend, Khel Khel Mein is currently lagging behind in advance when compared to the other two releases. Part of it is the effect of less show count and bare minimum marketing along with Akshay Kumar’s diminishing goodwill among the masses. However, a positive sign is that it has seen significant growth in the advance at National Chains in past 24 hours.
Khel Khel Mein has only managed to get just over 4100 shows across India. It has managed to sell over 42,200 tickets across the three national chains and has collected an advance gross in the north of ₹1.30 Cr.
OCD Times Prediction: ₹3-5 Cr

This was an overview of the advance bookings done by the three movies and what we think they will manage to rake in on the opening day.
Stree 2 is definitely winning this clash with some distributors saying, “is it even a clash? Stree 2 is clear winner.” The other two releases might also be able to generate more numbers if the walk-in is strong along-with the added benefit of overflow audience from Stree 2.
