Yeh Diwali ____ wali?
We have already seen a mega clash this year on Independence Day between Stree 2, Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa wherein Stree 2 smashed every single box office record and went on to become the highest grossing hindi language film of all time (domestic) whereas both Vedaa and Khel Khel Mein tanked at the box office. This Diwali brings to us the clash of two of the biggest franchises of Hindi cinema- Singham and Bhool Bhulaiyaa.
Singham Again has the benefit of having one of the most star studded cast of all time and Salman Khan’s cameo as Chulbul Pandey which will be a MASS FEAST for the fans. On the other hand, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has brought back the OG Manjulika,i.e, Vidya Balan alongwith Madhuri Dixit and a MESMERIZING Ami Je Tomar rendition with both of them in frame dancing have got the fans excited!
Both the movies are polar opposites in genre with one being horror-comedy which is the flavour of the season coupled with Kartik and rest of the cast’s proven comic capabilities and a very successful predecessor. In contast, Singham Again brings back Ajay Devgn in one of his most beloved avatar and Ramayana parallels make it a perfect Diwali release! If we talk about marketing, it has been lacklustre for both of the films.

SINGHAM AGAIN
Starting with the fifth movie of Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe and the third of the Singham franchise, the marketing has failed to create a lot of buzz for the movie. However, we are still positive that given the franchise name, universe factor and the never seen before star cast, we are eyeing at a potenital Diwali record opener!
Singham Again has currently secured over 13,689 shows, with more than 5,12,545 tickets sold in advance for the first day, generating an advance gross of approximately ₹15.70 Cr. That makes it an average of 38 tickets sold per show.

BHOOL BHULAIYAA 3
Now coming to the the second release this Diwali- Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, the marketing has been better when compared to Singham Again, but again, it has not been upto the mark for a film of such a beloved franchise. Anyways, just like Singham Again, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has several things going in favour for it as well. The horror-comedy genre has been the flavour of the season and we all know how the previous Bhool Bhulaiyaa fared at the box office inspite of Bollywood’s low phase. So, we have high hopes from this film as well!
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has currently secured over 9,901 shows, with more than 5,54,344 tickets sold in advance for the first day, generating an advance gross of approximately ₹17.12 Cr. That makes it an average of 56 tickets sold per show.
