“Hum Banayege India Ka Sabse Bada Family Drama“
Overview
Aryan Khan’s directorial debut The Bads of Bollywood is streaming now on Netflix. Where every star kid wants to become an actor, Aryan chose to sit on the director’s chair and he nailed it in almost every department.
But there is some missing element also — after all, it’s his first venture. From exciting cameos, ultimate brainrot, laughter doses, to brilliant action sequences. But what about storytelling? Wait, wait, let’s start with the review now.

Spoilers Ahead
This review of The Bads of Bollywood will have some spoilers. So if you are just looking for the verdict or recommendation to decide if you wish to watch it in theatres or not, skip to the last paragraph.

Plot
The plot of The Bads of Bollywood, a 7-episode series, revolves around the life of Aasman Singh, an outsider in Bollywood. His first film becomes a big blockbuster and many producers start chasing him because they want Aasman in their next films. But it’s not just about Aasman’s life. The story is about the whole Bollywood industry. Love, life, laughter and much more. Let’s start with the detailed review now.

What I Liked
Brainrot
Dekho yaar show toh badhiya hai. Mazza bhi aata hai, pata bhi nahi chalta kab episode shuru hua kab khatam. Ultimate fun it was. The jokes landed perfectly and dialogues were written decently — no cringeness or something weird. And it was clearly visible Aryan is a big big Bollywood fan. He followed every update of the industry and blended it with the show very well. Aryan took so much inspiration from Farah Khan films. The Farah Khan angle was also clearly visible in Aryan’s direction. Kyuki aisi cheezein Farah hi bana sakti hai and Aryan is now also doing the same things.

The Departments Where Aryan Excelled in Direction
Action
The action scenes were crafted very well. From start to end all were perfect in terms of action. Bass ek car chase scene tha jo VFX mein kaafi weak tha. At first I thought Red Chillies VFX se ye galti kaise hogayi. Then I realised in the end credits the car chase scene VFX was given by YFX. So no comments. Baaki Aasman aur Ajay ke action sequences, the start scene of Aasman and much more were handled well.
Comedy
Aryan excelled in this department also. He did a tremendous job in comedy. Mazza hi aagaya. Raghav as Parvaiz was the best decision. Aisa lag raha tha character Raghav ko imagine karke hi likha gaya hai.
Story and Emotions
Pura toh spoil nahi karunga but wo Prime Video wali film start hogayi climax mein — “My Fault.” No one saw this climax coming. It was really a shocking twist. And very funny too, as the situations of everyone around change. The audience feels like a fool, as they were rooting for Aasmaan and Karishma, but it translates so well, as the characters within the series also feel like a fool. So now the audience is feeling what the characters are feeling.

Songs and Music
There are so many background scores in the show, some composed by Anirudh, some by Pritam, and a few other music composers were also involved. Revolver BGM was good, the intro BGM was also good, but aisa koi bhi nahi tha jo hamesha yaad rahe. Songs bhi uss level ke nahi the jo forever yaad rahe. Overall, decent music that worked for the series.
Choices like the rock version of Soldier Soldier theme music on Bobby Deol’s entry elevate the experienc elike no other.
