Ekta Kapoor has recently released the poster of her upcoming film, ‘LSD 2’ i.e. ‘Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2’, a sequel 13 years after the original ‘Love Sex Aur Dhokha’.
The film will be directed by Dibakar Banerjee, who also directed the first part. The prequel starred Rajkummar Rao, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Neha Chauhan, Anshuman Jha and Amit Sial among others.
The film will be based on the ever-rising social media addiction among the youth. Bigg Boss 16 contestant Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia will be making her Bollywood debut with this film.
It will release on 16 February 2024, during the Valentine’s Day weekend, heading on to a clash with Akshay Kumar starrer untitled ‘Soorarai Pottru’ Hindi remake.
The Hindi remake is tentatively titled ‘Production No. 27’. But as per sources, the title under consideration is ‘Start UP’. It stars Akshay Kumar in the main lead along with Radhika Madan as the female lead. It also stars Paresh Rawal reprising his role as the antagonist just as the original film.
Suriya, the main lead of the original will be making his cameo in the film and also act as a producer for the film. It will be directed by Sudha Kongara who also directed the original version. Music composer G.V. Prakash is retained to record the soundtrack for the film.
The film will be produced by Suriya and Jyotika (2D entertainment), Sudha Kongara, Cape Of Good Films and Abundantia Entertainment (Airlift, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha).
