Stree mein Bhool Bhulaiyaa

Stree might do what Bhool Bhulaiyaa couldn’t! According to recent buzz, Akshay Kumar might be having a cameo appearance in Stree 2. The source stated that, “The makers felt his comedy timing is impeccable, and his presence even for a few minutes will elevate that particular sequence.” 

Dhurandharo Ki Fauj

Director Aditya Dhar’s next after Uri will be titled Dhurandhar. It will be a fast-paced, mission-based thriller featuring an ensemble cast of Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R.Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Rampal in the leads. The pre-production has begun and the film is expected to go on floors by the end of this year. Chalo, Ranveer ke haath ek film aa hi gai! 

We’re coming back to the Race!

The next instalment in Race franchise will be bringing back Saif Ali Khan as the lead, while Salman Khan leaves. A young actor is being considered to play the villain and Nikkhil Advani is to direct the film. However, there is no confirmation whether Deepika Padukone, John Abraham or others will return as well or not.

Maalik ki Maalkin

Rajkummar Rao’s next will be titled Maalik. The 12th Fail actress Medha Shankar will be seen alongside him in this emotion-driven action entertainer. Maalik will be directed by Bhakshak director Pulkit and filming is expected to begin in September 2024.

Highlights of the week

Barring these updates, there has been a lot of developments regarding various other projects as well.

1. Saif Ali Khan, Bobby Deol and Samuthirakani will be seen in Priyadarshan’s Hindi Remake of Oppam.
   
2. Kalki 2898 AD becomes the Highest Grossing Flim of 2024.
   
3. Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha postponed to 2nd August.
   
4. The second part of Kalki 2898 AD is expected to come after 2 years and will feature a three way clash between Bhairava, Ashwatthama and Supreme Yaskin.
   
5. Kill opens to decent box office numbers.
   
6. The Sabarmati Report featuring Vikrant Massey and Raashii Khanna in the leads has been delayed again because of reshoots.
   
7. Raayan gets an ‘A’ Certificate from the CBFC.

Shoots – Kya Shuru Kya Khatam

1. Coolie filming begins.
   
2. The shoot of Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari will commence from 12th July in Mehboob Studios, Bandra.
   
3. Game Changer filming has wrapped up.

New Releases, Release Dates and Announcements

1. The next film in YRF Spy Universe titled Alpha starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari has been officially announced.
   
2. Netflix announces a documentary on S.S. Rajamouli titled Modern Masters which will stream from 2nd August.
   
3. Maharaja to stream on Netflix from 12th July.
   
4. Lucky Baskhar starring Dulquer Salman in the lead role will release on 7th Sept 2024.

Hollywood and other International Samachar

1. Marvel releases first teaser for their Disney+ series Agatha All Along.
   
2. Gladiator 2 first trailer released.
   
3. Shrek 5 to release on 1st July 2026.
   
4. The final Conjuring film will release on September 5, 2025 in theaters.
