Yudhra Review – Worst Of 2024

Toh Isse Kehte Hai Action Film?

Warning – this review will be full of spoilers. Avoid reading if you haven’t watched it yet. Dekh aao fir padhna, zyada maza ayega. Aur agar sirf verdict chahiye toh you can skip directly to the last paragraph. Bas itna yaad rakhna isse bakwas action film nahi dekhi aaj tak.

Yudhra Ka Background

Directed by Ravi Udyawar, known for revenge thrillers like Mom. Mom was a great revenge drama, but now let’s talk about Yudhra. The story follows Yudhra, an ex-prisoner with a bad temper, which he’s had since childhood. He lost his parents in a car accident, and after his father’s death, his uncles raised him. Because of his anger issues, they sent him to a Cadet Training Academy. However, due to his violent behavior there, he was sent to jail. While in jail, he was given a mission to kill the man behind his father’s death, starting his journey of revenge.

Characters and Performances

The movie stars Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Malavika Mohanan, Raj Arjun, Ram Kapoor, Gajraj Rao, and Shilpa Shukla. Every actor performed well, no doubt about that. They cast Raghav Juyal as an antagonist. Sabko laga tha kill ke baad ye banda wapas se apni performance se kill kardega, but nahi, iss baar aisa nahi hua. He tried well, but uska character cartoon jaisa lag raha tha.

Ab baat karte hai Yudhra ke character ki. TBH Siddhant Actor acha hai I loved him in Gully Boy,Inside Edge, Phone Bhoot .But, Siddhant Chaturvedi isn’t for action roles, man! Usse nahi hoga action. Bahut koshish ki usne, but uspe ye role suit hi nahi ho raha tha. Upar se kuch sequences mein aisa lag raha tha wo character ke bahar hai. Nikhat, played by Malavika, bass itna kahunga iss actress ke baare mein isse acting hi nahi ho rahi thi. Baaki sab at least acting toh kar rahe the, ye thi neutral expressions ke saath har scene mein.

Other than that, Raj Arjun was good as an antagonist. Ram Kapoor and Gajraj Rao were also decent in their characters.

Action Yudhra

Agar sach bolu toh action choreographer Nick Powell ne kamaal kar diya. They literally tried to show every kind of action, like bike chase scenes, BMX cycle action, knife killings, and much more. But acche se shoot nahi kiya hai un sequences ko, otherwise action scenes mind-blowing hote. Jis tareeke se ab dikhaya hai action scenes ko, wo kachra lag raha tha kaafi zyada.

Mehnat toh kaafi ki hai Siddhant ne action par, but phirse baat aati hai acting ki. Action ke saath wo bhi zaroori hai.

Knife killings were too good. Malavika bhi thoda bahut action kar leti hai. Raghav zyada terrifying tha baaki characters se, but usne apne character ke hisaab se decent hi kiya.

Thrill And Story

The movie was promoted as an action-revenge thriller, but jisne bhi trailer dekha hai aur jo zyada thriller movies dekhta hai, wo easily predict kar dega sab kuch. There was nothing thrilling in the film, and there were no surprise elements either.

Upar se average marketing, generic posters 2 trailers ke baad bhi audieneces ko kuch exciting nahi laga. Trailer mein sab kuch toh dikha diya tha, wahi film mein tha, aur kuch khaas nahi.

Music

Sabse unnecessary cheez iss film mein. I mean, 3 songs the film mein ek romantic after interval aur 2 DJ party type before interval, but koi bhi dhang ka nahi tha. Bass climax mein thoda Yudhra ka BGM acha hai, baaki teeno songs bakwas, totally crap. Better wo bhi avoid karte makers, songs ke bina runtime aur kam ho jaata.

Negatives

Spoilers honge aage kaafi zyada, agar dekhna chahte ho ye film toh aage mat padhna.

Negative hi negative hai sab, positive ke layak jo tha upar keh diya, ab shuru karte hai galtiyaan. Sabse pehle toh shuruwat mein jo bike chase scene tha, usmein 3 bikes thi. Ek bike thi 150cc ki jo Yudhra drive kar raha tha, aur baaki dono bikes thi 900cc ki, so how can they even call that a bike chase scene? Uske baad Yudhra ki entry, jab wo helmet utarta hai—kitna bakwas tha wo entry scene, kaise kahu uske baare mein?

Action scenes were well choreographed, as I said before, but jail scene was not up to the mark, jaise sab keh rahe the. 1-2 sequences the, wo bhi decent. Now talking about the climax scene, toh humare Yudhra bhai ne ek aakhri khawaish maangi—unhe lollipop khaana hai film ke end mein, aur ussi lollipop se villain ko maarte hai, unki aankh mein wo stick daal kar. Bhai, bahut cringe thaaa wo!!!

Verdict & Rating

Koi bhi umeed mat rakhna dekhne ke waqt, dekhne layak nahi hai wo film. Bass jo bhi tha, National Cinema Day ki wajah se logon ne dekhi, maine bhi dekhi ₹99 mein. Kaash wo bhi paise bacha leta, usse wapas Tumbbad dekh leta. Still, agar shauk hai apne dimag ko torture karna chahte ho toh dekh sakte ho ye film, otherwise please skip this film.

OCD Times Movie Rating: 2 / 5 (Jo bhi hai thoda Raghav, Siddhant, aur action choreographer ke diya hai rating, varna mai toh 0 dene wala tha).
