Bollywood, as an industry, keeps on evolving with time. In this dynamic industry, there are many well established actors who started off their acting journey from a very tender age as child actors. Here, we are at OCD Times bringing to you a list of child actors then and now!
1. Jibraan Khan
Jibraan Khan is already in the headlines for his latest release Ishq Vishk Rebound. The actor has also worked on Brahmastra as the Assistant Director. He made his debut as the child artist in Suniel Shetty’s Bade Dilwala followed by the David Dhawan directorial Kyo Kii… Main Jhuth Nahin Bolta. However, his most notable work as a child artist remains Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham where he played the son of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol.


2. Kunal Kemmu
One of the most known faces in the comic genre has been Kunal Kemmu for the longest of time. Recently, alongside acting, he wrote and directed the comic caper Madgaon Express which proved to be a critical as well as commercial success. However, not many people know that the actor made his debut as a child actor in the Mahesh Bhatt directorial ‘Sir’ and went on to star in several movies like Raja Hindustani, Zakhm, Bhai, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, and Dushman. He also appeared as a child actor in the Doordarshan TV series Gul Gulshan Gulfaam.

3. Aftab Shivdasani
Remember the iconic “I am a Complan Boy” advert? Yes, it was Aftab Shivdasani. Aftab began his career as a child artist with Mr. India followed by Shahenshah, Chaalbaaz, Awwal Number, C.I.D and Insaaniyat. As an adult, he was seen in a range of comedy movies like Hungama and the Masti franchise. Aftab was last seen in Special Ops 1.5: The Himmat Story.


4. Imran Khan
Imran Khan has been one of the most talked about actors since his disappearance from movies. His fans are craving for his comeback since a very long time and it is rumoured that he would be seen playing a cameo in the Viral Das directed ‘Happy Patel.’ Imran Khan was last seen in the 2015 movie Katti Batti. However, his first appearance dates way back to 1988 in the Aamir Khan starrer Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak followed by another child artist role in Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar.

5. Hansika Motwani
Hansika Motwani made her debut in Bollywood as a child artist in the 2003 movie Hawaa, and then went onto to act in one of the most celebrated Bollywood Sci-FI movie Koi… Mil Gaya. Afterwhich, she shocked everyone in the 2007 by making her acting debut with Aap Kaa Suroor opposite Himesh Reshamiya for which she also received a Filmfare Award first the Best Debut.

6. Ahsaas Channa
Ahsaas Channa is an actress who has been actively working in a large number of Web Series. Her latest release includes the third season of widely appreciated series Kota Factory. However, she is probably the only actress who portrayed a gender opposite role as a child artist in the much loved 2007 movie My Friend Ganesha were she was casted as Aashu. This has been one of the most unexpected and shocking revelation for the audience.

7. Utkarsh Sharma
Last seen in one of the most successful movies of last year, Gadar 2 as the Jeete, Utkarsh Sharma begun his acting journey with the first instalment of Gadar as a child artist portraying the same role followed by Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo and Apne. He made his acting debut as a full fledged actor in the 2018 film Genius which was also directed by his father Anil Sharma like the other two movies. His next will be Journey which will also be directed by Anil Sharma and will co-star Nana Patekar.

8. Siddharth Nigam
One of the most known faces across television and films since his childhood has been Siddharth Nigam. He made his acting debut as a child actor in Dhoom 3 followed by Munna Michael. Siddharth Nigam was last seen in the Salman Khan starrer Kisika Bhai Kisiki Jaan.
