Raid 2 Trailer Overview
Perfect trailer doesn’t exis…
Trailer Cut
Length, perfect. Flow of narration, perfect. Use of title cards and music, perfect. Such a balanced, engaging and to the point trailer. I don’t think I could add anything that could make it better.
The Opening
The trailer starts from knocking, followed by “Andar ye shashtradhari dekh rahe ho? Bahar ye sarkari karmchari dekh rahe ho?” dialogue which I feel was the best way to start the trailer as it connects to the previous film.
The follow up reminding of Saurabh Shukla as ‘Lucknow wale Tauji,’ further hits the nostalgia for the audience. Now this helps to sell the film to audience of all age groups. Very well done!
Riteish as Dada Bhai
We all know he is a great actor. We see him in more comic roles but we love him in serious roles as well, especially when he plays the villain. From the trailer it appears Dada Bhai is a kind man who helps people, but a gunda as well. He is a family man, a loving son but mean too. As he is a politician, he will also be corrupt, intelligent, scheming and will have many faces. That’s how you show a politician as the antagonist, not like.. chalo chhodo.
Wife and Daughter
So now Amay Patnaik has a daughter and the family has a habit of getting transfers. Zyada role nahi hoga, bas last film ki tarah ki Raid ki wajah see personal lives pe, family pe kya asar padta hai. Maybe usko bhi threat dega koi. I doubt isse zyada kuch depth dala hoga Vaani ke character mein.
Saurabh Shukla
Beech beech mein inka dose ata rahega film mein maza ayega. Jaise trailer mein beech beech mein dikha rahe the. Always love his acting. Raid mein toh kamaal ke the hi. Raid 2 mein bhi lag raha hai maza ane wala hai.
Going Big
It seems the Raid this time will not be limited to just one day, and neither the whole storyline. A lot of different things are happening, a lot more angles, aur ab toh Tamannaah Bhatia ka dance number bhi dal diya hai, music rights bechne ke liye. I just hope ye scale bada karne ke chakkar mein storytelling sacrifice na kar dein.
Overall film ka pura plot toh nahi dikhaya, but itna toh humko pata bhi tha ki Raid hogi, maal milega, problems hongi, publicjsame as last time. Isliye kehta hu, teaser is enough for me, zyada plot kyu janna hai film see pehle? But review karna hota hai, kya hi kar sakte hain.
