From Salman Khan’s cameo in Baby John to Akshay-Priyadarshan collbaoration, the last week brought us many exciting updates regarding various Bollywood projects! Bhai Ka Birthday Hai
The much-awaited Salman Khan starrer film Sikandar is almost about to get wrapped very soon, but there is an exciting update about Sikandar. The teaser of Sikandar is all set to release on 27th December on the NGE YouTube channel on the occasion of Salman Khan’s birthday. Apart from that, Salman will be appearing for a cameo role in Baby John. Fans will see Salman in a massy avatar 2 times in the same week.
Vanga’s Solid Casting
Every time Sandeep Reddy Vanga has nailed it in the casting department, and now, as per reports, Mrunal Thakur is in talks to play the leading lady in Prabhas starrer Spirit. Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor are also in talks to play negative roles in the Vanga directorial. Additionally, there are rumors that Don Lee might play the antagonist in Spirit, but there is no confirmation yet. The shoot is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2025.

The much-anticipated Mahesh Babu and SS Rajamouli project is all set to go on floors next month. The pooja ceremony is expected to be held in the second week of January, most likely on Sankranti. Priyanka Chopra is reportedly in talks to play the leading lady in this jungle adventure film, which will mark her biggest comeback.
Aryan Ka Stardom
Aaryan Khan recently shot an award function sequence featuring 18 stars, including Rajkummar Rao, Arjun Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan, Orry, Sara Ali Khan, Ranveer Singh, and others for Stardom. Big celebrities are set to make cameo appearances in this Netflix original show helmed by Aaryan Khan. The series stars Lakshya Lalwani, Anya Singh, Bobby Deol, and Mona Singh in leading roles.
Highlights of the week
Barring these updates, there has been a lot of developments regarding various other projects as well.
- Pushpa 2 has crossed ₹1500 Cr mark on the global and ₹600 Cr mark at the Hindi box office.
- Zero Se Restart flops at the box office, earning just 38 lakhs in its opening weekend.
- Queen 2 is in the works, confirmed by director Vikas Bahl.
- Netflix is producing a two-hero, massive-scale action creature film with Siddhant Chaturvedi as the first lead, while casting for the second lead is underway.
- Dhanush and Sydney Sweeney are reportedly set to collaborate for an upcoming Sony production film, tentatively titled Street Fighter.
- The first look of Toxic, along with its release date, will be out on 8th January, on the occasion of Rocking Star Yash’s birthday.
- Shabana Azmi, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Jaideep Ahlawat are collaborating on a courtroom drama directed by Bhakshak fame Pulkit and produced by Tips Films.
- Nayanthara will perform a special dance number in the Prabhas starrer The Rajasaab.
- The release date for The Rajasaab will be announced in the Christmas week.
- Baby John has received a U/A certification from CBFC with a final runtime of 2 hours and 44 minutes.
Shoots – Kya Shuru Kya Khatam
- Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par has been wrapped up.
- Masti 4 shoot begins, starring Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani, and Vivek Oberoi, and is helmed by Milap Zaveri.
- Pre-production has started for Arjun Ustara, which goes live on floors on 6th January, starring Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri.
- The shoot for Aakhon Ki Gustaakiyaan has begun in Dehradun. This debut film of Shanaya Kapoor stars Vikrant Massey alongside her in the lead role.
New Releases, Release Dates and Announcements
- Paatal Lok Season 2 streaming on Prime Video very soon, Official poster out now (Expected to stream in the second week of January 2025).
- Mardaani 3 official announcement poster is out now, and the film is set to release in theatres in 2026.
- Songs Bandobast and Hazaar Baar from Baby John are out now.
- Hitman song from Fateh is out now, featuring Yo Yo Honey Singh.
- Khoj Parchaiyo Ke Uss Paar trailer out now, streaming on Zee5 from 27th December.
- Doctors starring Sharad Kelkar trailer out now, streaming on Jio Cinema from 27th December.
Hollywood and other International Samachar
- Karate Kids: Legends trailer out now.
- Chris Evans has been officially cast in Avengers: Doomsday. Reportedly, he’s playing the role of Nomad.
- Anthony Mackie and Hayley Atwell will reprise their roles as Captain America and Peggy Carter in Avengers: Doomsday.
- First trailer for Death Of A Unicorn, starring Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega is out now.
- James Gunn’s Superman trailer will be out today.
