November thoda thanda chal raha hai na? Both literally (up north) and film industry wise. Still, a lot of announcements and releases have happened. So, here we are at OCD Times bringing to you, a recap of last week – your weekly dose of Samachar to cover all news, updates and rumours surrounding movies! Samachar This Week.

Atlee X Salman

Atlee 6 is going to be a reincarnation period action drama where Salman Khan will portray a warrior. With music by Anirudh, the film will feature two superstars. While Salman is confirmed, the second superstar is yet to be finalized between Kamal Hassan and Rajinikanth.

Ajay Directs Akshay

In a recent interview, Ajay Devgn revealed that he will soon direct a film starring Akshay Kumar in the lead role. There may be a parallel lead and the buzz is that it may be Vicky Kaushal. The movie is an action comedy drama and is currently in the writing stage.

Stree Bani Naagin 

Shraddha Kapoor’s much-anticipated project Naagin is finally happening. Producer Nikhil Dwivedi confirmed that the script is now ready after three years of work. He further added, “It’s a completely brand-new subject with no connections to previous films.”

Vicky’s Staggering Lineup

Latest news is that Vicky Kaushal has signed Rajkumar Hirani’s next film. Chhaava by Laxman Utekar will be releasing in the first quater of 2025. Next Vicky will be working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War. Post that Vicky will be moving on to Amar Kaushik’s Mahavatar.

Highlights of the week

Barring these updates, there has been a lot of developments regarding various other projects as well.

1. Shoojit Sircar’s I Want To Talk received mixed reviews, earning ₹1.5 Cr in 4 days.
   
2. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 gets a super hit tag while Singham Again is declared a semi-hit.
   
3. Anurag Kashyap’s banned film Paanch to be released in theatres in 2025, after 22 years.
   
4. Rajneeti 2 is in development, with director Prakash Jha confirming it will continue the story of Ranbir’s character Samar Pratap.
   
5. Cocktail sequel is in the works, starring Shahid Kapoor. Homi Adajania returns as director, produced by Maddock Films.
   
6. Sky Force to release in theatres on Republic Day 2025, with the trailer arriving this Christmas.
   
7. It’s official now Bhagam Bhag 2 is in the scripting stage and will go on floors by mid-2025.
   
8. Kriti Sanon signs a horror comedy directed by Anand L Rai, filming begins in the first quarter of 2025.
   
9. Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, tentatively titled Stardom, will stream on Netflix in 2025.
   
10. Ekta Kapoor collaborates with Tumbbad director Rahi Anil Barve for a big feature film. She is also planning Ragini MMS 3 for 2025.
    
11. Kanguva gets a disaster tag at the box office.
    
12. The Tamil Film Active Producers Association calls for a ban on YouTube fan reviews filmed inside theatres.

Shoots – Kya Shuru Kya Khatam

1. Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal are currently shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War in Mumbai.
   
2. Ram Charan’s upcoming film, tentatively titled RC16, has begun shooting in Mysore.
   
3. The Housefull 5 team recently shot a grand Housefull Universe song, shot from November 21 to 23, choreographed by Remo D’Souza.
   
4. Housefull 5 enters its last schedule. Filming is expected to wrap by Christmas 2024.

1. Pushpa 2 trailer out now, all set for a grand theatrical release on 5th December 2024.
   
2. Kissik from Pushpa 2 out now, featuring Sreeleela and Allu Arjun.
   
3. Nain Matakka song from Baby John has been released online.
   
4. Barroz 3D trailer out now.
   
5. Agni trailer out now, streaming on Prime Video from 6th December.
   
6. Despatch, starring Manoj Bajpayee, teaser out now, streaming on Zee5 from 13th December.
   
7. Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1 date announcement video out now, releasing on 2nd October 2025.
   
8. Baaghi 4 releasing in theatres on 5th September 2025. First look poster out now!

Hollywood and other International Samachar

1. The Boys final season has started filming.
   
2. Peacemaker season 2 has officially wrapped filming. Releasing in August 2025 on Max.
   
3. A potential Slumdog Millionaire sequel could be in the works.
