“Har Aashiq, Ek Villain Hai“
Teaser Overview
Bloody, Gory and Way Different from the rest of the franchise. Baaghi 4 looks somewhat over the top, but entertaining.
The Length
For me, this is enough. I don’t want to know anything else about the plot. I don’t want to see a trailer. They will reveal too much.
This was somewhere in between the length of a teaser and a trailer. Good enough to generater the hype, bad enough if a trailer is on the way.
The Cut
Overall loved the teaser cut. Creative opening, very well paced, and very impactful. Text/title cards were also good. The slash and blood effect was matching with the theme of the movie. Wo mera length wala point ignore kardo toh bahaut hi accha, tagda teaser kaata hai.
The Actors
Tiger Shroff – looks his bloody best. This is his zone, he looks fantastic in most of the scenes. This film may change his fate. But still in a few of the shots he was off a bit. I hope movie mein waisa na feel ho.
Sanjay Dutt – When is Baba not good? Killing and all toh hume pata hi hai Sanju Baba karte rehte hain. Isme 1-2 level up jayenge. Wo last mein kate hue hath se cigarette jalana was too good.
Sonam Bajwa – Gazab surprise that ye. Ekdam bawaal.
Harnaaz Sandhu – Killing portion I liked. But expression-wise thodi off thi.
The Bloody Action
Sab log Azis ke rishtedar hain kya? Kuch zyada hi slash-slash nahi ho raha tha? I mean, kill karo khoon-kharaba movie mein toh accha lagta hi hai. But sirf slash-slash? Tiger ke baki fight scenes isi liye thode aur acche lage, kyukli baki sab toh ek hi style se kaat rahe the.
Loved Tiger ka wo muh se sariya pakad ke gardan mein ghusana. Thoda zyada ho gaya, but movie mein toh accha lagta hi hai.
VFX Not Good
Bahaut nakli lah raha ai yar. Bahaut jagah blood bahaut hi nakli lag raha hai. Ek wo khet mein Tiger maar raha hai kisi ko. Day ko night banate hain wo dikhta hai. Nakli lagta hai. Nobody is improving that part.
Action Problem
When Sonam Bajwa kills, it looks authentic. Harnaaz Sandhu ka bhi accha tha. Lekin wo itna easily upar kaise uchal diya? Yar thoda toh filmmakers ko sochna chahiye, 70-80 kilo ka admi hoga minimum, itna effortless kyu dikhana hai? Supergirl thodi hai. Thoda sa struggle dikha dete, wahi shot aur mast ho jata.
When Tiger is slashing, in some places, it feels fake. Again, the reason is that there is no struggle. Feels like he is slashing through ice-cream. Arre human body hai, kitni bhi sharp butcher knife ho, sword ho, katana ho, thoda sa struggle hoga. This is not in all senes but in some it is. Choti-choti cheezein hoti hain jo ek shot ko accha ya bura banati hain. This is why we are behind Hollywood. Noit because of budgets, but because of smaller details.
Animal Effect
Jab Animal mein Arjan Vailly song mein mask and suit dikha diya hai, toh isme bhi dikhana zaruri hai? Kuch aur kar lete? Wahi mask, wahi suit, fir wahi kaat-peet karna. Log compare karege hi. Mat dalo na mask. Suit ki jagah kuch aur costume kardo. Why give anyone a chance to raise fingers?
Aur fir wahi B Praak ka oonche sur mein gaana. Punjabification aur Animal se similarity, in dono reasons ki wajah se ye gaana bilkul suit nahi kar raha.
Don’t Be Like Marco
I liked the gore and action part of Marco. But story-wise, screenplay-wise, and climax-wise, it was a typical South Indian action-drama which offered nothing new. I hope Baaghi is better. Don’t want a lame plot and screenplay filled just with slasher scenes.
Cheesy Lines
“Kundi khadkau? Ya seedha andar aau.” Kya bakwas line hai. Chitrangda wale gaane ki line hai ye, from Gabbar Is Back. Kyu karte ho ye cheap harkatein? Fir troll karenge cringe bolenge toh bura lagega.
Final Thoughts
I liked the teaser. The film feels different. It seems promising. But there is a slight fear of it being Marco meets Heropanti 2, with a pinch of Animal. Hope it is not. Would love to see an amazing Tiger Shroff action film. Hope for the best.
